As a senior teacher and guide in the Vedic Sciences, I am available to teach modules in Yoga Teacher Trainings (200-hour, 300-hour, or advanced programs). My role is to bring authentic depth, filling in the philosophical and spiritual foundations that are often missing in modern trainings. With over two decades of study and lived practice — and with experience both creating a Yoga Teacher Training for a yoga studio and serving as faculty in others — I ensure that trainees graduate with a well-rounded understanding of yoga as a complete path, not just asana.
I offer teaching in the following modalities:
Sanskrit – Foundational sounds, pronunciation, and the alphabet.
Introduction to Yoga Philosophy – Core teachings of yoga as a spiritual path, including in-deph knowledge of Shad Dharshana (the six philosophies) and the three major paths of Yoga (Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Jnana Yoga).
Ayurveda Fundamentals – Understanding doshas, pranas, ojas, tejas, the bodily tissues, tastes, digestion, daily rhythm, and mind-body balance.
The Bhagavad Gita – Essential lessons for the yogi’s life and practice.
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras – The psychology and philosophy of yoga and the Eight Limbs.
Select Upanishads – Ancient wisdom texts that reveal the Self and ultimate reality.
History of Yoga – Context for how yoga has evolved and where it truly originates.
Anatomy & Physiology – The muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and a practical look at the body in practice.
Yin Yoga – Principles, techniques, and the meridian connection.
Yoga Nidra – The art and science of yogic rest and relaxation.
Vedanta – The philosophy of self-realization.
Sankhya – The cosmology and framework underpinning Yoga and Ayurveda.
By bringing these teachings into your YTT, I help your program stand apart with a curriculum that is comprehensive, authentic, transformational, and prepares teachers who embody yoga at its truest depth.
